Birmingham Town Hall

A £32 million restoration job has now been finished. The ornate plasterwork and barrel vaulted ceilings were amongst the final touches before carpets were laid and contractors moved out.

We were responsible for the barrel vaulted ceilings which run the length of the access corridors around the bar areas of the hall.

Lime plaster was mixed on site – all the equipment had to be carried up numerous flights of stairs to the work areas – these are now the corridors which lead to the bar area at the end of the Hall.
