Building Regs Review - Hackitt conflict

How can there ever be 'independence' or safety in the building world?

This is what your Government is doing behind your back - seeming to actively do the right thing, but actually keeping the old boys network rolling nicely along, and defending the mates system.  It's corrupt, and it's now killing people.

You may have seen the news that Dame Judith Hackitt has been appointed to carry out an "independent review" of building and fire regulations following the Grenfell Tower disaster.

It would be difficult to find someone who is less independent than Judith Hackitt.  She is a complete chemical industry insider. She was also a commissioner of the useless Health and Safety Executive.

She is on the Board of the Energy Saving Trust which actively promote toxic foam insulation.

Hackitt is a chemical engineer and was chair of the EEF …a manufacturing organisation for chemical products.

She was Director General of the CIA. (Not the American CIA!!) but the Chemical Industries Association.

The CIA advocates fracking and leading chemical insulation companies are members such as BASF, Dow and Hunstman …which is part of St. Gobain. (Celotex).

She has also worked for The European Chemical Industry Association. (CEFIC) and was President of IChemE

It is hard to imagine that she will be raising questions about the use of chemical foam insulations.

She says she is going to consult with BRAC which includes in its membership Mark Allen, Technical Director of St Gobain/Celotex

You will recall that Kingspan tried to claim to me that they had no product in Grenfell.  Channel 4 news subsequently showed they DID.  Kingspan then tried to cover the fact that they were also the 'independent' fire test laboratory - again revealed by Channel 4 news.

Kingspan have nowhere to run and hide any more - except to try and ensure 'Dame' Judith Hackitt protects them.
